Valant Uses AWS Communication Developer Services to Help Behavioral Health Practices Drive Better Patient Engagement

Valant, a provider of web-based electronic health record software for behavioral health practices, needed to upgrade its telehealth offering and improve patient engagement. Working with Amazon Chime and AWS Communication Developer Services, Valant sought to add multi-user video, chat, screen sharing, and more flexible communication tools, while also replacing a single static reminder with more personalized appointment and care communications.

Amazon Chime helped Valant build a new telehealth solution using the Amazon Chime SDK, along with Amazon Pinpoint, Amazon SES, and Amazon Polly to automate reminders and patient outreach across video, SMS, voice, and email. The result was stronger patient engagement and easier communication for practices, contributing to more than 20% overall business growth and over 100% add-on revenue growth, with the company also reporting about 21% growth in business and 5% practice growth.
