SJ, Sweden’s largest railway operator, wanted to adapt its distribution strategy to meet changing customer behavior and reach more rail travelers across both domestic and international offline and online travel channels. To support this shift, SJ partnered with Amadeus and used Amadeus Sales Channels to expand its rail content into the wider travel ecosystem.
Amadeus helped SJ distribute its content through offline and online travel agency channels, enabling a more efficient domestic and international sales strategy. The result was greater sales opportunities for SJ and easier end-to-end booking for travel agents, helping increase productivity and booking volumes while positioning rail as a stronger alternative to flying on some routes.
