A Amadeus Case Study

Preview of the Middle East Airlines Case Study

Implementation of Amadeus Segment Revenue Management paves the way for new gains for Middle East Airlines

Middle East Airlines (MEA), Lebanon’s flag carrier, wanted to strengthen its revenue performance and stay competitive across 31 international destinations. Facing limitations with its previous revenue management setup—such as manual workload, weak reporting, and system outages—MEA turned to Amadeus and its Altéa Segment Revenue Management solution to improve forecasting, pricing, and inventory control.

Amadeus implemented the solution through a careful review of MEA’s processes, onsite support, and customized training, enabling smoother deployment and adoption. The results were strong: MEA improved load factor while protecting unit yield, reduced offloads and downgrades, and cut daily workload with 90% of flights now steered automatically. The airline reported excellent first results and a rapid return on investment, supported by more accurate forecasting and better revenue and traffic analysis.
