With Amadeus BRS, Icelandair Ground Services automated baggage processing and tightly integrated with the Amadeus Altéa suite, reducing the need for costly type-B baggage messages by 41% and cutting lost baggage by 18%. Amadeus estimates this will save Icelandair around €430,000 over five years, while reduced baggage losses saved airline customers about €250,800 in just one year.
