TAROM, Romania’s national carrier, wanted a mobile solution that would help it capture growing demand for mobile bookings, improve the customer experience, and support future sales of ancillary services. The airline chose Amadeus Mobile Solutions to provide a fast, easy-to-use mobile booking and servicing channel with strong integration and usability.
With Amadeus Mobile Solutions, TAROM launched a targeted mobile-only promotion and used social media to drive traffic to its new mobile portal, which included booking, PNR servicing, check-in, and mobile boarding passes. The campaign delivered strong results: mobile bookings jumped from under 150 PNRs the week before launch to 3,140 in the first week, mobile represented 18.7% of all PNRs in February 2015, bounce rate fell to 19%, and mobile bookings increased by 85% in the three months after the campaign compared with the three months before.
