Oncomed Manufacturing, a.s., a member of medac group, is a Central Europe-based pharmaceutical company specializing in aseptic processing of oncology injectables. As the company grew, tracking a rising number of IT and non-IT assets became increasingly difficult, and the IT team was relying on manually updated spreadsheets that were error-prone and hard to manage. After a Microsoft audit, they concluded this approach was not sustainable.

ALVAO implemented Asset Management together with the CMDB module, integrating it into oncomed’s existing IT environment via REST API and carrying out the project fully online during the Covid-19 pandemic. The result was a clear, regularly updated overview of assets, including IT equipment, phones, keys, and watches, plus better documentation of systems and support for upgrade and replacement decisions. ALVAO says this also helped oncomed save significant money and reduce the risk of service disruptions.
