A ALVAO Case Study
ALVAO worked with the University Hospital in Ostrava [FNO], the largest state-run health facility in the Moravian-Silesian Region, serving 1.2 million people and more than 3,000 staff. The hospital needed to improve slow IT services, weak logging, and poor visibility into IT assets and requests, especially given its large user base and extensive equipment.
ALVAO implemented ALVAO Service Desk and ALVAO Asset Management to cover IT services and IT assets, add request logging, define service parameters, track hardware and software requests, and record IT staff time. The result was a more efficient IT department with better oversight for managers, faster request resolution within agreed SLA deadlines, and a structured, rule-based service process; the rollout was later extended to other operational services, and the hospital also added intranet reporting, an IT services catalogue, and timesheet generation.
