Oschadbank grows mobile banking to 4M+ users with Alty

Oschadbank, one of Ukraine's largest banks, faced the challenge of migrating its predominantly branch-first customer base to digital channels. Their existing mobile application was a limited utility, which sustained high operational costs and risked excluding customers unfamiliar with digital banking. Partnering with product strategy and experience vendor Alty, the bank sought to reposition mobile into a primary service channel while preserving familiar banking logic for all users.

Alty led the discovery and modernization strategy, focusing on rebuilding the mobile app as a full alternative access channel rather than a limited extension. The solution was designed for gradual migration, replicating everyday branch workflows to build trust and digital confidence. As a result, Oschadbank dramatically reduced branch dependency, achieving over 4 million active mobile users and a transaction volume of ₴250 billion in 2022. The app's rating also rose significantly, reflecting improved usability and trust.
