Halyk Bank grows app rating to 4.7★ with Alty

Halyk Bank, one of Kazakhstan's largest financial institutions, faced the strategic challenge of expanding its digital ecosystem beyond core banking services. Partnering with Alty, the bank needed to validate whether integrating non-banking lifestyle services, like travel, into its existing SuperApp would work without fragmenting the user experience or weakening customer trust.

Alty helped Halyk Bank design and implement a native integration of travel services directly into the banking app, treating it as an ecosystem module rather than a standalone product. This solution leveraged the bank's existing authentication and payment infrastructure. The results validated the expansion model, leading to significant growth: travel GMV increased from 3.9B to 4.6B KZT, the app rating improved from 3.4 to 4.7 stars, and active users were projected to reach ~3M by 2025.
