Sexual Violence Research Initiative Leverages ProposalCentral for Equitable, Transparent Grants Management

The Sexual Violence Research Initiative (SVRI), a global feminist NGO, required a robust grants management platform to ensure its highly selective funding process was both equitable and transparent for its international audience. To manage this, SVRI leveraged ProposalCentral, a service from vendor Altum, which provided the accessible and fair system they needed for their applicants, many of whom operate in low- and middle-income countries with varying levels of technological access.

By implementing Altum's ProposalCentral, SVRI gained a solution that supports multi-language applications and a rigorous three-phase review process, enabling them to efficiently manage around 300 applications annually to select approximately 8 grants. The platform ensured an equitable and transparent process, and the vendor's support team was noted for being incredibly accommodating and responsive. This allowed SVRI to confidently select high-impact research teams that address critical gaps in the field of violence against women and children.
