Altoros runs a Web Library that stores high-resolution brand images, videos and media files, but their legacy setup—application servers using NFS—became costly and hard to scale as data grew. To reduce cloud infrastructure costs and enable elastic storage, the customer looked to a cloud-native approach using AWS services such as Amazon S3 and block storage.

The vendor re-architected the system by detaching storage from the web application and moving media to separate block/object storage while optimizing resource utilization based on New Relic analysis. With AWS-driven storage scaling and smaller application footprints, Altoros achieved gradual, elastic capacity growth and cut infrastructure costs to just 25% of the original—four times less than the legacy system.
