The Automated System for Holding Tenders for Toyota

Toyota Motor Corporation (TMC) engaged Altoros to automate its tendering process for goods, parts and services. Facing a need to standardize and speed up vendor selection, TMC commissioned Altoros to build a tender-holding and management application (built on .NET/C# with VSTO and XML) that would handle uploading tender conditions, managing participant lists, and streamlining bid collection.

Altoros delivered an automated tender management system that generates and distributes participation templates, collects standardized supplier responses, evaluates offers by price and product/service characteristics, and produces an automatic report identifying the most competitive bid. Altoros also implemented additional automation subsystems—including a parameter-driven report generator that replaced manual reporting, a viewer for rare file formats, and draft-approval management—cutting manual effort and accelerating decision-making for Toyota Motor Corporation (TMC).
