Migrating Banking Applications to Pivotal Cloud Foundry

A Canadian bank specializing in residential and commercial real estate lending (more than 800 employees and over $30 billion in assets) faced slow, costly releases and fragmented outsourcing that hindered development, monitoring, and compliance. Working with Altoros, the bank sought to adopt a cloud‑native platform—Pivotal Cloud Foundry—to accelerate development, improve observability, and meet Canada Deposit Insurance Corporation (CDIC) security requirements.

Altoros migrated six business‑critical applications (online lending, digital banking, mortgage underwriting, deposit services, risk rating, and ETL) to Pivotal Cloud Foundry, containerized workloads, and implemented compliance modules (compliance scanner, file integrity monitor, antivirus, isolation segments), custom Graylog dashboards, Micrometer, and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Concourse) integrated with JFrog and GitLab. As a result, the bank achieved CDIC compliance, reduced outsourcing costs and time, and significantly accelerated deployment, release, and update cycles across the migrated applications.
