Leading Solr-Based Search Engine Provider, a European Wi‑Fi internet provider, needed a fast way to search large amounts of content without slowing down its main platform. Its legacy architecture sent too many queries across the network, and adding new web-based services like tourist information, hotel booking, and taxi services risked further performance issues. Altoros built a prototype on three customer-provided servers, separated content storage from authorization, and implemented advanced search with Solr, plus auto-suggestions, filters, and multilingual search in English, French, and Dutch.
