A provider of process safety solutions operating globally faced a paper-based, time-consuming equipment monitoring process at a gas plant and needed a fast, secure way for field workers to submit readings and connect with operators. They engaged Altoros to develop a web system and mobile application that would support QR scanning, offline-capable audio/video, and secure intranet communication.

Altoros built a web portal for operators and an Android app for field staff, using WebRTC with emulated STUN/TURN servers, ZXing for QR scanning, and file transfer and location tracking features. Delivered in two months, the solution replaced manual reporting, enabled real‑time video/audio communication despite a blocked Internet, and helped the customer secure funding from one of the world’s largest petrochemical companies.
