A U.S.-based healthcare startup — a provider of medical sampling kits that raised $6.1M for its at-home blood self-collection toolkit — partnered with Altoros to build a HIPAA-compliant prototype. The customer needed an affordable service that avoided cold-chain transport, required temperature analysis for lab-ready samples, and demanded cloud security, CI/CD, and rapid prototyping expertise on AWS under tight deadlines.

Altoros delivered a backend for data analysis, a web dashboard, and two Android apps (doctor and patient) with barcode/NFC tracking, temperature-analysis graphs, reminders, and AWS HIPAA services for compliance. The prototype handles 500+ requests/sec, eliminated the need for cold-chain equipment through temperature monitoring, won a disruptive innovations nomination, and produced validated feature priorities for the planned MVP — outcomes driven and secured by Altoros’ Serverless/CI-CD and QA work.
