Enhancing Security of Microservices on Kubernetes

Altoros was engaged by a provider of authentication and security services (headquartered in Irvine, CA) that was converting a monolithic app to containerized microservices on Amazon EKS. The customer asked Altoros for an independent maturity assessment to uncover security vulnerabilities, bottlenecks, and lifecycle/authorization risks and to ensure the EKS deployment met their business needs.

Altoros conducted technical sessions and a six‑hour assessment against 25 maturity model components, delivering a prioritized roadmap and recommendations—including Helm and eksctl for lifecycle management, managed Postgres for resilience, container image scanning and kube-bench for security, Prometheus and Istio for observability, and CI/CD best practices. As a result, the customer gained a clear remediation plan for high‑priority issues, improved visibility into resource usage and call paths, strengthened security and availability on Amazon EKS, and increased feature delivery velocity, with Altoros available to support implementation.
