Developing a System for Managing Roof Truss Production

The company, a global leader in fully automated building-component manufacturing with patented smart robotics for roof truss production, faced a non‑production CAD‑like design tool that was only a proof of concept. To mature the software and add business‑critical capabilities for its roof truss production line, the organization engaged Altoros for software development, API hardening and system integration services.

Altoros delivered two major components to control robot step sequencing and to remove defective truss elements, hardened the system API to industry standards, integrated the solution with the proprietary truss production system, and added data buffering/retransmission plus Docker‑based virtualization for OS agnosticism. As a result, Altoros helped turn the proof of concept into an enterprise‑grade, fault‑tolerant solution that supports customizable robot workflows, reliably handles network errors, and minimizes the risk of unexpected production failures.
