A Altoros Case Study
Large Medical Kit Company, a Canada-based provider of cleaning and disinfection audit solutions, needed to modernize its proprietary infection-detection algorithm, which ran on an outdated iPad mini app and was slowed by memory limits, device motion, and manual lamp controls. The company wanted to turn the algorithm into a flexible SDK that could work on newer devices and be offered as a white-label product.
Altoros migrated the solution to Swift and Metal, added GPU/CPU parallel processing, automated image scaling and camera settings, integrated Core Bluetooth for lamp sequencing, and improved contamination highlighting with configurable parameters. As a result, Altoros delivered a proof of concept in 2 months, cut analysis time from 120 seconds to 3 seconds, and helped the customer validate the SDK with university campuses and onboard new clients.
