Automating Document Workflows for a Car Rental Provider

The customer is a Norway-based car rental provider that rents next-generation electric cars and partners with insurance companies and around 100 body shops. When they engaged Altoros, key document workflows—placing orders, logging incidents, issuing invoices and generating reports—were handled manually in Excel; they needed a secure, scalable automation and a minimum viable product fast to pursue new insurance partnerships (Altoros delivered the engagement using Microsoft Azure-based technologies).

Altoros implemented a microservices-based web application on Microsoft Azure (Azure Functions, Azure AD B2C, Azure Cosmos DB, Blob Storage) with role-based access control and one-time dynamic links for renter access, plus integrations via Twilio, SendGrid, Visma, QuickPay and Stripe. The solution automated document workflows across the car rental, insurers and ~100 body shops, delivered an MVP in two months, ensured scalability and data separation for security, and enabled the customer to establish a new partnership with a major Norwegian insurance provider.
