They used Altmetric Explorer to quantify and visualize the reach of research outputs.

Using Altmetric data, they tracked over 500 publications, showcasing their significant coverage in international policy documents, news outlets, and social media. This evidence was used in a highly influential report that was covered by major news organizations and directly contributed to a government call for an overhaul of climate science funding.
