Simulation Technologies, Inc. Reduces Schematic Entry from Weeks to Days using Altium Designer

Simulation Technologies, Inc. (SimTech) is a long-standing supplier of military simulation and real-time control systems that required flawless, fast PCB development for missile guidance and other defense programs. After using the same EDA tool for about 20 years, declining support and slow upgrades made it impossible to meet market pressures for quicker turnaround and more advanced designs, yet the company could not tolerate extended downtime or errors during a toolset change.

SimTech adopted Altium Designer, selecting license levels to match needs and migrating designs using Altium’s import/export wizards plus online training and hands-on support. Within a month engineers were productive, schematic entry time fell from weeks to days, board routing completion rose from 85% to 100%, and overall design speed and capability improved while lowering total cost of ownership.
