Rising to the Occasion with Altium Designer + Altium 365

Velocity Research, an engineering services startup in Michigan, joined the Open Source Ventilator Project to help develop emergency ventilator designs during the early COVID-19 response. Founder and CEO Dugan Karnazes faced the challenge of coordinating a rapidly growing global volunteer effort, with more than 800 engineers responding and a final team of 40 selected for their skills and familiarity with Altium Designer.

Altium helped Velocity Research streamline PCB design with Altium Designer and Altium 365, the cloud platform used for sharing and collaboration across distributed teams. Altium 365 enabled the team to work closely across time zones and from home, helping bring thousands of contributors together and accelerating the project’s coordination and design workflow.
