Getting Wired with Luminaire Coffee, La Marzocco and Altium

Luminaire Coffee, a Seattle-based startup, develops innovative coffee equipment and electronics to help baristas craft better espresso with efficiency and precision. As its designs grew more complex—especially for projects like La Marzocco’s Linea LB and Linea PB—the team needed a better way to divide work across multiple engineers, manage parts, and meet demanding manufacturing and EMC standards. Luminaire Coffee used Altium Designer, along with Altium 365 and Concord Pro, to support its PCB design workflow.

Altium helped Luminaire Coffee streamline schematic development with hierarchical design support, improve shared library and version-control management with Concord Pro, and speed up the creation of manufacturing and client-ready outputs. Native 3D PCB design and Altium 365 also made it easier to collaborate with mechanical engineers and present complete designs to customers. The result was faster, more organized development with a single source of truth for components and smoother collaboration for teams working on two to three projects at once.
