Delkin Devices - Customer Case Study

Delkin Devices, a Poway, California manufacturer of industrial storage products with more than 24 years in business and ranked among the top 25 manufacturers in Southern California, needed to modernize its PCB design tools. The company had been using an older version of Altium Designer (and earlier PCAD/Tango) that no longer met evolving electronics-design requirements, creating slower routing, more manual cleanup of rule violations, and limited ECAD/MCAD collaboration.

Upgrading to the latest Altium Designer delivered built-in features like continuous Design Rule Checking, improved differential-pair routing, MCAD–ECAD 3D collaboration, and an Output Job editor for consolidated manufacturing documentation. The transition was smooth (older projects opened without rework), and the new toolset doubled PCB throughput, cut clearance-violation cleanup from 1–2 days to about an hour, sped routing, improved mechanical collaboration, and streamlined the path from concept to production.
