Danish Interpretation Systems (DIS) selects Altium Designer to design the world’s first fully-digital conferencing system

Danish Interpretation Systems (DIS), a 50-year communications specialist, set out to build the world’s first fully digital conferencing system (DCS 6000) — a compact, armrest- and table-leg–friendly device that must deliver 32 simultaneous language channels, support eight active microphones, and scale via LAN while handling the complexity of real-time interpretation and high-density electronics.

After evaluating vendors DIS chose Altium Designer for its customizable rules-based environment, high-speed and impedance-controlled routing, and intuitive interface. Using Altium, engineers produced compact, manufacturable PCBs and successfully launched the DCS 6000, boosting operational efficiency, contributing to financial success, and reinforcing DIS’s reputation for innovation.
