CAS Tecnologia, a Brazilian developer of intelligent automation and telemetry products, faced a critical business challenge: heavy reliance on outsourced design work that limited growth and control. With a mechanical-centric workflow and electrically complex products for managing electricity, water and gas, they needed an EDA tool that could ensure precise mechanical fit and handle advanced routing and component management — including 3D previewing, unified schematic/layout editing, powerful routing/high-speed features, a component library tied to their database, plus solid documentation and support.

CAS chose Altium Designer and brought PCB design fully in-house. By linking their component database, using Altium’s native 3D PCB editing and unified schematic/layout environment, and leveraging advanced routing and BOM tools (including DDR3 tuning), they cut days-long tasks to minutes, completed projects like the RS2000 Z-MONO SMART efficiently, and achieved synchronized mechanical/electronic design, greater independence, and faster time-to-market.
