A New Way to Design Electronic Products

Yasa, a British manufacturer of electric motors, controllers and powertrain solutions for automotive and aerospace applications, needed a better way to keep electrical and mechanical teams aligned on fast-moving product designs. To improve MCAD/ECAD collaboration, Yasa turned to Altium 365 and Altium CoDesigner.

Altium implemented a real-time, bi-directional workflow between MCAD and ECAD so design changes could be shared directly between teams and tools. The result was faster collaboration and always-current design data for Yasa’s engineers, with mechanical designers receiving the latest ECAD files whenever needed and electronic changes pushed directly into MCAD.
