Case Study: Seokyeong University achieves uninterrupted e-library and e-learning access with Altibase

A Altibase Case Study

Seokyeong University utilizes Altibase to solve problems related to concurrent logon attempts and e-learning

Seokyeong University, one of South Korea’s largest private universities, struggled with legacy Oracle databases that could not handle high volumes of concurrent logins and heavy data workloads. These limits caused e-library and e-learning authentication failures and poor data exchange between the main system and subsystems. To resolve this, Seokyeong University adopted Altibase and its hybrid in-memory/on-disk database solution.

Altibase implemented its hybrid database to consolidate all portals and Single Sign‑On services into a single platform, enabling real-time data distribution and synchronization between systems. The deployment cut the number of servers required in half and eliminated logon failures for e-library and e-learning users since the switch.
