Samsung Electronics adopts Altibase for UDSF in its 5G telecommunications equipment

Samsung Electronics, a global leader in electronics and a major 5G telecommunications equipment manufacturer, needed a database for its UDSF (Unstructured Data Storage Function) that could guarantee microsecond‑level stability with no service disruption, handle 1.6 million TPS per node without inter-transaction interference, and deliver ultra‑low latency for mission‑critical network functions. To meet these demanding requirements for its 5G equipment, Samsung Electronics adopted Altibase.

Altibase delivered a microsecond‑response, high‑throughput database with sharding for automatic scale‑out and replication for real‑time duplication and non‑disruptive failover, while avoiding IP‑infringement risk. As a result, Altibase met Samsung Electronics’ minimum requirement of 1.6 million transactions per second, provided virtually nil latency, enabled cloud‑style, cost‑effective scaling of UDSF, and proved easy to adopt and administer without changing existing relational systems.
