Education Broadcasting System (EBS), South Korea’s public television and radio network, needed a CRM and integrated Single‑Sign‑On (SSO) solution for its EBS and EBSi sites but found its existing systems couldn’t support 10 million core subscribers, 100,000 simultaneous active sessions, or a secure “clean site” login flow without social security numbers—particularly during high‑traffic college application periods for its EBS Apply service. EBS selected Altibase to meet these authentication and authorization challenges.

Altibase implemented its hybrid DBMS with built‑in HA and replication (active‑standby and active‑active configurations), enabling seamless in‑memory and on‑disk storage and fast SQL/JDBC access. As a result, Altibase now supports EBS’s 10 million subscribers with SSO, handles 100,000 parallel sessions (doubling capacity and supporting ~50,000 typical concurrent users), maintains historical account data reliably, and keeps EBS Apply processing glitch‑free during peak loads.
