Visual Science, a consulting firm founded by Priscila Castro, used its Alteryx expertise to help a popular Brazilian complaints website better understand the end-to-end consumer experience. The challenge was ingesting a complex API feed with thousands of fields and free-text conversations, then extracting sentiment across multiple touchpoints (opening, company response, and closing) to reveal pain points and contextual drivers like response time, device, and seasonality.
Using Alteryx Designer and the Intelligence Suite, Visual Science authenticated to the API, downloaded and cleaned the JSON, concatenated event records, translated Portuguese text via an Azure translator, and ran sentiment analysis (valence and magnitude). The team produced an interactive Tableau dashboard (Hyper output) in three days that highlights sentiment shifts from opening to closing, surfaces top terms, and lets managers filter by period or segment — enabling the site to offer consultancy to companies, rapidly pinpoint issues, and plan expansion to social media analysis.
