mcgarrybowen is a creative advertising agency that produces hundreds of social creatives yearly for Fortune 500 CPG and healthcare brands across platforms like Facebook and Twitter. Their challenge was that platform exports are raw, multi‑tab spreadsheets limited to 90‑day windows, making it difficult to measure creative effectiveness, engagement timing, and cross‑brand learnings over long periods.
The team built Alteryx workflows to blend quarters of multi‑tab social data, filter to relevant KPIs, and unify records by Post ID so each post’s metrics sit on a single row for export to one Excel tab; individual client files were then combined into a master dataset for benchmarking and trend analysis in Excel/Tableau. The solution eliminated hours of manual work, freed analysts to do deeper analysis, enabled cross‑client and vertical benchmarks, improved client insights and satisfaction, and supported more timely optimization.
