UK Tool Centre, a 60+-year-old retailer with a 10,000+ product showroom that recently launched ecommerce, faced monolithic back-room processes and poor data: no clear brand or conversion strategy, no customer retention program, and no effective warehouse management for 39,000 SKUs. Data lived in silos, manual purchase-order workflows were error-prone, and traditional large-scale ERP solutions were too costly and slow to implement despite 40% year‑on‑year growth.
They took a data-led approach using Alteryx alongside design partner The Observatory and a Magento migration with iWeb. A lightweight Alteryx interface was built to connect PeopleVox and Xero, automate draft purchase orders, and reconcile inventory and pricing; product records were reorganized and cleansed (39,000 SKUs handled quickly). The result: faster iteration vs. months of development, daily WMS insights for marketing, accurate inventory and financial integration, and a streamlined, scalable, agile operation.
