Transitioning From Qlik to Alteryx for Advanced ETL

LightStream Analytics, a Singapore- and Indonesia-based performance management and analytics firm with more than 60 staff and 100+ clients, helps organizations integrate, analyze and visualize data across cloud and on-prem systems. One client needed a BI view of the dates when agents did NOT perform sales activity — a reverse-date analysis that stalled a QlikView implementation because it required heavy scripting and resource-intensive logic.

The team used Alteryx to prepare and blend the sales data before feeding it to QlikView, building a repeatable, drag-and-drop workflow (left joins, filters, dedupe) with no scripting required. The workflow was completed in about an hour versus two weeks of failed effort, reduced the processing burden on QlikView, enabled advanced ETL without SQL expertise, and delivered significant time savings and faster, clearer insights.
