The Academy Group - Customer Case Study

The Academy Group, a newly formed education organization running a 2017 Summer School program, needed a fast, low-cost way to capture and report daily student metrics—attendance, engagement, grades, and behavior—so teachers could monitor and respond in real time. With little budget and a short turnaround, program leaders partnered with Alteryx for Good to build a repeatable data strategy that consolidated multiple inputs into actionable daily reporting.

The team implemented an automated pipeline—Google Forms and Sheets for input, Alteryx Designer with ListRunner and Scheduler to combine and transform data, and Google Data Studio for seven dashboards—processing data from 8 forms and 12 gradebooks. The solution delivered on-demand, individualized and aggregate reports, freed teachers from manual Excel work, and enabled faster, more effective student interventions.
