STelligence, an Operational Intelligence, IT monitoring and big data analytics firm in Bangkok, entered the Home Hackathon to predict and rank prices for 700 Bangkok properties within one week. The team faced a large, messy dataset (6,000 labeled properties, POI lat/lon, and 700 targets), limited after-work hours for prep, and the need for quick, reliable benchmarks without waiting for official land valuations.

Using Alteryx’s code-free spatial and data-prep tools, the team cleaned erroneous records, blended open-source polygon data, calculated distances to POIs, and created distance-based features, then visualized results in Tableau and ran predictions in R. Faster iterations (Alteryx runs in ~1 minute vs. ~10 for coded approaches) let them refine models quickly, winning first place in the hackathon for the second year and improving confidence and delivery speed for client work.
