SPAR International, the Dutch multinational retail franchise behind more than 13,000 stores across 48 countries, needed a way to unify highly fragmented sales and product data from each market. Different naming conventions, suppliers, currencies, and Nielsen data formats made it difficult to standardize, join, and compare information for global reporting. The company used Alteryx Designer Cloud to tackle this challenge.
Alteryx helped SPAR International build a workflow with AWS S3 and PowerBI to cleanse, standardize, and combine store data for a global view. The result was a new reporting capability that had not been possible before, including analysis of over €250 million in annual sales data, benchmarking against competitors, and a 12X increase in reporting output.
