The main challenge was reconciling IT’s need for curated, governed data with business teams’ demand for speed and autonomy, and securing executive and cross‑departmental buy‑in to deploy Alteryx at enterprise scale.
Signet created an enterprise analytics team, a Data Governance Committee and an Analytic Community of Excellence with “Ace Ambassadors,” regular labs, certification programs and an IT champion, then ran a nine‑month proof of concept to win executive approval. The deployment grew from 3 to ~90 Alteryx licenses, processed over 100K workflows in 90 days (~1,000/day), delivered dramatic time savings (tasks reduced from days and multiple people to minutes), fewer errors, faster warranty and reporting processes, and new customer insights that helped justify the investment.
