Quantum Spatial needed a way to track project Estimates-at-Complete (EAC) historically because its ERP only showed current data, making it hard for Finance and leadership to see how project variance changed over time. After being introduced to Alteryx by Slalom Consulting, Quantum Spatial used Alteryx to automate weekly data snapshots and build a historical reporting process for EAC analysis.

Alteryx helped Quantum Spatial create a weekly workflow that pulled and transformed ERP data into a SQL snapshot database, then fed Tableau reports showing EAC variance, gross margin impact, and week-to-week trends. The solution saved many hours of manual work each week, improved Finance’s ability to monitor project performance, and gave PMs faster, clearer insight so they could proactively manage costs.
