Juniper Networks needed a way to analyze historical CRM data and understand the health of its sales pipeline, especially as territory structures changed each year and made comparisons difficult. After adopting Alteryx in 2016, the company used Alteryx’s Salesforce connector and certified data sources to automate weekly historical snapshots and build trend analytics for sales leadership.
With Alteryx, Juniper Networks blended Salesforce, SAP, Hyperion, and Anaplan data into a Tableau-ready dataset, reprocessed historical records for apples-to-apples comparisons, and automated coverage and pipeline trend reporting. The result was a mostly hands-off workflow that now supports executives, the CEO staff, and sales leaders, while also laying the groundwork for predictive analytics; one key achievement was processing over 20 million comparisons across six criteria to normalize historical territory data.
