OnePlus Systems, an Illinois-based maker of container fullness and control systems serving large retailers, manufacturers and property managers, needed to increase membership renewal rates without raising costs. The challenge required building an iterative predictive model to identify at-risk members, align stakeholders across finance, operations and marketing, and consolidate disparate data sources so the business could target outreach more effectively.
Using Alteryx, the team blended survey, demographic, transaction and marketing data, cleaned and summarized fields with tools like Field Summary, and compared multiple models (decision tree, random forest, logistic and boosted). The Random Forest model proved most accurate (around 95%), with boosted and logistic models scoring ~91% and ~87% respectively. Scoring the full file enabled targeted campaigns (emails for likely-to-renew, personal calls for those at risk), confirmed membership trends, improved resource allocation, and sped up the analytics workflow—empowering nontraditional data users to deliver actionable insight.
