A North American–based global airline needed to modernize and consolidate a fragmented, error-prone audit program that relied on SQL, Access, Excel and third-party systems. The existing audit logic was poorly documented and maintainable only by technical experts, making routine changes slow and risky and extending the audit cycle to 5–7 days.

The analytics team rebuilt the program in Alteryx as four workflows—data preparation/cleansing, customizable audit feature selection (with a user interface), audit execution, and PDF report generation—deployed on Alteryx Server. The automated solution cut the audit time to about 15 minutes, saved the airline over $1M annually, increased cost recoveries by more than 2.5x, eliminated third-party dependencies, and made the process documented and usable by nontechnical staff.
