Nippon Caterpillar Japan, which sells, rents, and services construction and industrial equipment, faced a major challenge organizing disparate customer and business-unit data: hundreds of thousands of records came in inconsistent Excel formats, hindering cross-sectional analysis, customer-journey tracking, and timely sales support. They needed an affordable, integrated ETL and analytics solution to automate data aggregation and enable deeper insights.
With Classmethod’s help they implemented Alteryx to ingest Salesforce, CSV and Excel data, automate ETL via a drag-and-drop GUI, and visualize results in Tableau; they’ve also started using ML models for failure and demand prediction and web-contact analysis. The outcome: reproducible workflows, large time savings (work that used to take 2–3 weeks now completes in days), easier sharing of processes, lower cost than legacy options, and growing adoption for advanced digital marketing and analytics.
