SIGMA Marketing Insights faced a time-consuming, manual process for ingesting activity files from dozens of external vendors for hundreds of email campaigns. Incoming files varied in format and field names and often lacked certain activity types, so each campaign required about two hours of a database developer’s time to map fields and generate reports.

They built an Alteryx analytic app with interface tools that lets non-technical staff map fields via dropdowns, handle missing files with detour logic, join and deduplicate inputs, insert results to production tables, and auto-generate a QC report. The workflow cut processing to about five minutes per campaign, saving roughly 100 developer hours a year, enabling account coordinators to run jobs, improving oversight, reducing errors, and freeing developers for higher-value work.
