Compensar Uses Designer to Create and Push XML Files

Compensar, a Colombian private social security entity focused on family, worker and company development, needed to ensure that the data being processed and sent to a web service was accurate. Using Alteryx Designer across financial services, planning and corporate management teams, the organization faced the challenge of validating and reliably transmitting blended data from multiple sources (EPS, Kactus, Órbita) as XML files.

Working with partner ItPerforma, Compensar built a set of Alteryx workflows and macros — including CreacionXML, LlamarMacroWS, MoverArchivos and CargaOrbitaKactus — to blend source data, generate and verify XML line by line, and move or back up files locally if web calls failed. The solution automated XML creation and validation, ensured data integrity, provided local backups for failed transmissions, and streamlined the process for reliable, repeatable web service updates.
