A Alteryx Case Study
The Fifth Judicial District of Pennsylvania (Allegheny County) is a local government data hub that must deliver near–real-time, highly accurate information to judges, police, probation officers and social services while operating under tight budgets and system constraints. Facing messy, inconsistent data—much of it locked in mandated systems as XML—the team needed a way to standardize, parse and share critical data across multiple target systems without tying up scarce developer resources.
Working with partner eMoksha, the court adopted Alteryx to build ETL workflows that consume XML, transform data and load SQL Server targets for internal systems and Tableau Server. In 20 months they created 14 scheduled workflows and 117 ad-hoc processes (including an XML parser built during the free trial), freed one full-time equivalent by reallocating developer work, halved data-sharing development time, launched near–real-time dashboards, and expanded cross‑agency data sharing — earning recognition at national and state court management events.
