ASDA, a major British supermarket, faced a fragmented, manual media-asset and customer-feedback process for its website and in-store promotions. The Media Management (AMM) project involved spreadsheets, email workflows, SharePoint upload limits and no reliable way to track banner bookings; external vendors quoted a $1M deployment cost to solve it.
Instead, ASDA positioned Alteryx as an orchestration layer to automate and centralize data, using SharePoint batching, XML/JSON parsing, a WebDAV workaround for automated screenshots, and machine learning (SVM with grid search) to classify customer feedback and route issues to ServiceNow. The solution integrated with Salesforce, Azure/GCP and Power Apps, delivered a $1M cost saving, reduced manual errors, improved P&L by ~5%, sped insight generation, and enabled scalable archiving and personalized workflows.
