A Alteryx Case Study
The American Heart Association’s Business Intelligence team struggled with fragmented member data in a “Hub of Life” fed by three disparate sources (Microsoft Dynamics/SQL Server, an LWW subscriber system, and an Oracle-backed web portal) plus flat files. That fragmentation produced time-consuming manual data prep, Excel bottlenecks, dirty data, dependence on centralized IT, human error, and data silos that slowed reporting and insights.
AHA implemented the Alteryx Platform to consolidate and validate member records, building eight automated workflows (two every 30 minutes, six every four hours) and using features like integrated validation, R-based modeling, Tableau integration, and CReW macros for orchestration and error reporting. The outcome is a single source of truth with faster time-to-insight, reduced reliance on Excel/Access, improved donor targeting and predictive models, smoother vendor integrations, and more reliable self-service analytics.
