Case Study: SingHealth Group achieves seamless oncology care continuity with Altera Digital Health’s Sunrise Oncology

Providing continuum of care for cancer patients between inpatient and oupatient settings

SingHealth Group, Singapore's largest public healthcare cluster, faced a challenge in providing a seamless continuum of care for cancer patients moving between inpatient and outpatient settings across its various institutions. Their existing paper and electronic workflows were not fully partnered with Altera Digital Health to implement the Sunrise™ Oncology solution as part of a larger e-chemotherapy project to standardize and digitalize these workflows.

Altera Digital Health worked closely with SingHealth to develop and implement a customized Sunrise Oncology solution. This provided a unified platform that harmonized protocols and gave clinicians across the cluster instant access to patient records, treatment plans, and critical alerts. The implementation resulted in enhanced patient safety, improved efficiency and coordination among care teams, and significantly reduced the time to access oncology records, ensuring seamless continuity of care for patients regardless of their treatment location.
